Nothing is change here other then the over all size of the cards. they are still Smaller but retaining all of the Classic Artwork of the Original Rider Waite Tarot cards. Why does all this make a difference? Well it really doesn't. Many casinos use bridge sized card for all their card based games for this reason. For many smaller hands this makes a difference if the comfort of handling. To retain pretty much the same ratio of a full sized Rider Waite Tarot Card, they are Bridge sized instead (3.5" x 2.25") which are about a quarter of an inch more narrow then Poker sized card. These cards are actually not poker card sized (3.5" x 2.5") across the board. ![]() So when I saw one of my friends deck of Pocket Rider Waite Tarot, I knew I just had to have a deck of these once my own deck fell apart, Which recently they have. Even 104 cards are easy in my hand and I doubt anyone else have a difficult time with that task unless they have really tiny hands. I can handle a poker sized deck of card with ease and it feels comfortable dealing with a deck more of that size. but they are just muscular, my fingers are about the average length and all. My one complaint of the Rider Waite deck, has always been that they are just too large for an average person hands. ![]() I've used them so much that my Last deck (the third I have ever owned) has finally self destructed on me after about 3 years of constant use and some bit of rather rough handling. I like the classic look of the Rider Waite Tarot cards, and have used them for a good long time now. The Chinese make excellent cards and this deck will be sort after when it’s OOP, I would highly recommend this deck for purchase before it’s gone you won’t regret it. I bought a second deck and I’m ready to purchase a third and I just did, the reviews and pictures you see are not about this deck, this deck is made in China not Italy, it’s pocket size not standard size somehow the reviews get mixed together making it hard for you to decide whether to buy or not. Pam’s original font is used on this deck There were no defects with this deck every card was perfect, I love this deck. The card stock is good a little stiff, hard to riffle shuffle if that’s the way you like to shuffle, the colors are good on the cards all though the flesh tones vary, multi cultural I like it. ![]() Copyright is longer than usual but they use lighter colored ink so it’s almost unnoticeable, The Magician card is the only card with made in China on the left side of the card lighter colored ink used. This is the pocket edition, the cards are playing card size, made in China and are excellent quality.
